Source approval
Nothing enters an AI Twin by default. The owner selects each document, publication, transcript or recording the Twin may use, and can remove a source at any time. Material that is not approved is not available to the Twin when it answers.

Knowledge organization
Approved material is prepared so passages can be retrieved and attributed. Answers are assembled from those passages rather than from general recall, which is what makes a citation possible.

Scope
A Twin is created for a stated field of knowledge and purpose. Questions outside that field are declined rather than answered from adjacent material.

Audience
A Twin is created with an intended audience in mind. Clients, students, media, colleagues or event participants. The register and the boundaries fit who is asking.

Citations
Answers reference the approved source that supports them. The reader can open the citation instead of accepting unattributed output.

Refusal behaviour
When the approved material does not support an answer, the Twin says so. Ambiguous questions can be met with a clarifying question instead of a guess.
