Reply as you

What it is

Reply as you lets you join a live visitor chat from Insights → Sessions or Live Feed. While their tab is still present, a gold Reply as you button sends a human message that appears on the public AI Twin as an owner bubble (your reply name and icon). The AI Twin keeps answering when you are not in the thread.

What it’s for

Moments that need a human: a hot lead, a sensitive clarification, or a “let me jump in” moment during a live demo. It is not a ticketing inbox for chats from last week.

How to use it

1. Open Insights → Live Feed (https://base.hi.speak-to.ai/insights/live-feed) or Sessions while someone is chatting on https://hi.speak-to.ai/your-name.
2. The first time (or from Home), set How you appear: owner reply name and optional icon. This is account-wide across your AI Twins.
3. When Reply as you is available (gold), open the reply panel and send your message.
4. The visitor sees your owner bubble within a few seconds if their tab is still open.
5. When they leave the page, reply turns off for that session. Past sessions stay readable; you just cannot reply as you anymore.
6. On Live Feed, set Notify me to reply so you know when to jump in. Every live chat emails once when someone starts. Only when it matters emails for a weak answer, a Contact me lead, or keywords you set. Uses the Daily Report email. iOS push is not live yet.

Tips / pitfalls

• Presence is required: if the visitor closed the tab, reply is unavailable even if the session still appears in history.
• How you appear is not the same as your AI Twin profile avatar, set it once so visitors recognize you as the person behind the Twin.
• Owner replies nest under the visitor turn they answer; older orphan replies from earlier chats in the same browser session stay out of a fresh Welcome view.
